The eye-gate is one of the most magnificent senses we have,
especially when it comes to learning Dispensational Truths. By looking at the
chart, we can place where we are today. We can view what happened in an orderly
fashion in previous dispensations. By knowing where we stand, today, we can
easily see how future events will unfold in God’s Plan of the Ages.
Look at the chart and locate the time-frame between numbers
3 and 4. This represents the “day and age” in which we live─THE DISPENSATION OF GRACE. Look, closely, along the line marked as 4, and you will observe “THE
LAST DAYS.” We, personally, believe this is the time in which we are living.
“THE PRESENT PERIOD” is an unprophesied period. It is a
parenthetical age—a secret, a mystery not made known until after Acts 28.
This chart is intended as a study guide to the Right
Division of the New Testament. If the letters 3 and 4 were folded together, the
“Dispensation of the Mystery” would be hid from view, thus, illustrating the
fact that it was a secret, “hid in God,” until it was revealed by the Apostle
Paul (Acts 28:28, Eph. 3:1-5).
THE KINGDOM OF GOD
─ MANKIND’S HOPE
- CHRIST’S
FIRST ADVENT. At His birth (Luke 2:11), Yahweh of the Old Testament
becomes Jesus Christ of the New Testament (John 1:14, Phil. 2:5-8,
Heb.1:1-2).
The Kingdom of God, or of the
Heavens (God’s Government) proclaimed as being “at hand” (Matt. 3:2).
The people of Israel are called
upon to repent, to wit, repent (Matt. 4:17).
Christ’s miraculous healing,
raising the dead, and etc. attested to His credentials as Israel’s long-awaited
Savior (John 4:25-26).
Christ’s sacrificial death and
triumphant resurrection make possible the salvation of the world and mankind (John
1:29, John 3:16, I Cor. 15:3-4, 22).
- THE RESURRECTION AND ASCENSION OF JESUS CHRIST.
This marks the
actual foretaste of the coming Kingdom of God (Heb. 6:4-5).
God pours out of
His Spirit on 120 at Feast of Pentecost, endowing them with the manifest powers
in relation to His Government purposes, to which they are “called” (ekklesia) (Mark
16:15-18, 20, Acts 2:4, 43, I Thess. 2:12, Acts 5:14-16, Acts 19:11).
The Apostles were chosen to
proclaim the message of the Kingdom, by word of mouth, to the Jews only (Rom.
1:16.Acts 11:19.Acts 13:26). Later, Paul was commissioned to go to the
Gentiles. Gentiles, who believed, were “grafted” into the “Israel of God” to
provoke the Jews to emulation (Rom. 11:13-25). Through Paul and the other
Apostles, God’s work (Rom. 9:27-28) of bringing the message of the Kingdom to
every responsible Israelite on earth (Rom. 10:18), is accomplished in 33 years,
covered by the Book of Acts ( Rom. 15:20-21).
- THE
FORETASTE OF THE KINGDOM SUSPENDED: Paul proclaims God’s
change in Dispensations (Acts 28:28). A dispensation of PURE GRACE begins. God’s purpose is to write
into the history of mankind, a record of His gracious character (Eph. 3:2).
The out-flowing power of God to the
Church of the Book of Acts is reduced to conform to His purposes in grace (Phil.
1:6). Also, compare Acts 19:11-12 with Phil. 2:25-30, I Tim. 5:23.
None of the Old Testament Prophets saw this unforetold dispensation.
It was a SECRET (Eph. 3:1-5), it was HID FROM AGES AND GENERATIONS (Col.
1:26). It was said to have been HID IN GOD (Eph. 3:9).
A new calling emerges—the ONE
NEW MAN (Eph. 2:15), and it supersedes the Church of God, i.e. the Acts period
Church.
Jesus Christ is said to be HEAD of
this new Church which is His Body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all
(Eph. 3:22-23).
Signs, wonders, and miracles ceased
being in operation at Acts 28:28.
Today is a dispensation of the
SILENCE OF GOD. He speaks through His written Word, today. Justice is not
divinely administered, nor is justice divinely meted out. Only GRACE is
administered.
The Appearing (Epiphaneia) brings
an end to the Dispensation Grace (Titus 2:13, II Timothy 4:1). The Church which
is His Body is changed, or raised out from among the dead before any other of
God’s callings.
- THE
KINGDOM COMES and is manifested universally, initiating the DAY OF CHRIST.
God’s Spirit is poured out upon all of mankind. Christ begins adjudicating
the living and the dead to determine who shall be allowed to continue to
live, and who shall be resurrected to enjoy the life under the Kingdom of
God. Christ rules from His Throne in the heavens (Psalm 103:19) between
600 to 700 hundred years before He RETURNS TO EARTH at His Parousia.
The Temple is rebuilt. The Kingdom
of Israel, over time, becomes the most superior nation on earth. Justice,
equity, and righteousness prevail..
The Holy Spirit, as the Pervader,
permeates the earth, thus, restraining evil, and guiding, and directing mankind
(John 16:7-11). Evil is punished immediately.
The Adamic Curse is lifted. Men no
longer are subject to death because of Adam’s sin, but men will die as a result
of their own sin (Jer. 31:30). Hunger and starvation disappear (Isa. 35:1-2,6,
27, Ps. 67:6). There will be universal peace (Isa. 2:4, Mic.4:3). Life
expectancy will be drastically increased (Isa. 65:20).
The Kingdom of God will be a time
of resurrections—every man in his own order (I Cor. 15:23). Prayer
answered immediately (Isa. 65:21-23).
The Pervader, the Holy Spirit,
relaxes His restraints on evil to test all who dwell on the earth) Rev. 3:10).
The “lawless one” makes himself
known (II Thess. 2:3-9), he desecrates the Temple (Dan. 9:27). The “man-of-sin”
attempts to kill the faithful in Judea (Matt. 24:15-21, Ps. 83:1-5). Many Jews will be
martyred, but many escape to the mountains in Petra for safety (Matt. 24:16,
Ps. 11).
- REBELLION:
The anti-christ leads a revolt against the Government of Christ (Ps. 2), which lasts seven years
(Daniel’s 70th Week). The Lord Jesus Christ squashes the
revolt, and destroys the anti-christ by His Parousia, i.e., His 2nd Coming (I Thess. 4:16, I Cor. 15:51-52).
RESURRECTION & RAPTURE: The
dead (the Tribulation martyrs) are raised (I Thess. 4:17, Rev. 20:4) and with the living,
elect to meet Christ in the air and escort Him to the earth
- THE 1000 YEAR PAROUSIA ON THE EARTH: Christ purges the Kingdom (Matt.13:40-43. Satan is placed in the "bottomless pit" (Rev. 20:2). Christ rules the heavens and earth from Jerusalem.
- SATAN
IS LOOSED and, again, deceives the nations, leads a revolt against
the
world’s capital
city—Jerusalem (Rev. 20:7-8). God stops the revolt. Satan is destroyed (Rev. 20:9).
8. THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT (Rev.
20:11). The rest of the dead are raised
(Rev. 20:12-13). Death and hell are cast into the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:14). God makes all things new (Rev. 21:5).
The beginning of the New Heavens
and the New Earth, an eternal state (Rev.
21:1-4, I Cor. 15:27-28.
ENDNOTE:
This
Dispensational Chart was the work of the “Seed and Bread Ministry.” This was
the ministry of Mr. Otis Q. Sellers, the brave frontiersman of Acts 28 Truth,
who explored the Pre-Parousia Kingdom of God in the face of incredible
opposition.
